One of the things I love most about Ireland is the scenic drives which take you way up over magnificent 'Gaps' and this is a good one. Keep an eye out for the Pilgrim point.

Weekend in Donegal and took a drive to here. Great steep road up. Quite as hell bar the wind. Felt like being miles from anywhere. Well worth the trip but remember to bring something to leave in memory of a list loved one

This little bit of road is great, it has an amazing view of the Atlantic, hairpin bends and an odd shrine in the middle. I wouldn't fancy driving it in the snow or ice but when the weathers good (for Donegal) it's great. it also...More

I must admit, we had not intended to drive through Manmore Gap as we were racing back to catch the Lough Swilly ferry from Buncrana, but I'm so glad we did as it was an exhilarating drive edging around hairpin bend after hairpin bend as...More

This trip can take as long or as short (1 hour from Clonmany )as you wish as there are numerous points to stop and admire. The only requirement is the weather needs to be 'reasonable' to take in the view.
