Good local information and enthusiastic staff and helpers. The museum is in refurbishment so only a small number of exhibits are available right now... But it will be much larger in 2019.... Enjoy

If you're in Axminster then don't walk past this museum, obviously run by knowledgeable volunteers who know their exhibits and local history, the Museum provides a brief glance into Carpet Manufacture as well as the other local industries. Well worth the visit.

Wandering around Axminster and came across the museum. Free entry, friendly staff and pleasant exhibitions telling the story of carpet making. A must visit for visitors to the town.
