A pilgrimage to Guruvayoor is not complete without visiting the Mamiyoor Mahadeva temple. It is just 10 minutes away by walk from Guruvayoor temple. The atmosphere is very serene and divine.

Its said that you should visit Mammiyur temple when you visit Guruvayoor Sri krishna temple then only the circuit will complete.Unlike Srikrishna temple its more calm and quiet place.Along with Pants for gents Churidars are strictly restricted inside the temple.

We hired an auto from Nada street in Guruvayoor and went to Mammiyur siva temple. Temple was very good and maintained well. Not much crowd. There were many shrines for other gods as well. Has a book counter that sell divine books in the front...More

This very ancient Lord Siva temple is located around 2 Kms from Sri Guruvayur temple . Lord is in the Lingam form with a Goddess temple within the temple premises .

A must visit old Shiva temple. Very near to Guruvayur. Those who visit Lord Krishna at Guruvayur temple must have Darshan of Mammiyur Shiva also. Devi and Nagarajan and Mahavishnu temple is there in the same compound

Yes. U can take things inside the temple but they will check. If the things is not allowed inside they keep in a rack and give it back when we return after darshan.

Mammiyoor temple only allowed saree and traditional kerala wear for ladies to do darshan, no other dresses allowed for ladies. even churidar & salwar allowed in guruvayoor but both are not allowed in mammiyoor.for gents must... More
