According to the kshetra puranam (narration about the pilgrimage site), Lord Shiva gave the land to Guruvayurappan for the Temple. Thus, one needs to compulsorily visit the Mammiyur Mahadeva kshetram after visiting the Krishna mandiram for the pilgrimage to be complete.

Visited this beautiful temple. Shiva is the main deity in this temple. There was not much crowd at this temple.

Believes says that, if you have plan to visit Guruwayoor, you should visit Mammiyur also. 700 km frim Guruwayoor temple. Less crowded. temple closed by 11 hours morning.

Yes. U can take things inside the temple but they will check. If the things is not allowed inside they keep in a rack and give it back when we return after darshan.

Mammiyoor temple only allowed saree and traditional kerala wear for ladies to do darshan, no other dresses allowed for ladies. even churidar & salwar allowed in guruvayoor but both are not allowed in mammiyoor.for gents must... More
