There is so much to enjoy here from the setting to the curating of the works. Picasso as a single creator and his range, spontaneity, drawing skill and uniqueness are all in evidence. The exhibitions together offer insights into a range of influences on Picasso and his influences on others. For me it was also an introduction to a number of Catalan artists. I hope to have the opportunity to visit again one day as there is much to absorb about modernism, the avant garde and postmodernism and a high pleasure rating.…

Some wonderful work By Picasso from the collection and friendship with Pilau. Lots of photos of Pilaus early life and influences and his interactions with Picasso. All exhibits in Spanish so if you can read Spanish you might struggle a little.

A wonderful art museum, well curated and a significant tribute to Picasso’s work. Showing a private collection from a scholar and friend of the artist. Also has temporary exhibitions and permanent display of other Catalan artists. The trip out on train is easy and certainly worth it. The town is also worth a stroll around and the is a well mapped historic walk.…

The museum contains very interesting insights into Pablo Picasso through the eyes of author and artist Josep Palau. I found myself in Caldes d'Estrac for a few days and was pleased to stumble across this museum. I would say there around 40-50 items of Picasso of great interest along with other artists all known to Palau. I took approx 1 hour to view but could have taken longer. Approx 5 Euros and I had to ring the bell to be let in and didn't see another person. Very friendly staff. There is a fab restaurant as you leave here down on the left that serves food and drink all day and well worth some of their amazing potatoes! It took around 15 minutes to walk from the train station. If you head to the right of this building there are some amazing views up through the gardens up the hill - worth doing although wear good shoes, as there are lose stones, if you do.…
