Do not travel to sauble beach
Sep 2021 • Friends
The parking at Sauble beach sucks,
The enforcement officers will ticket you even if you don’t deserve it. And tourist are the ones that gets the short end of the stick, even though tourists are the ones bringing up the economy of the area.

And good luck if you want to fight the ticket, because they know that no one will travel to the area just to fight a parking ticket, as it will cost more than just paying the ticket. So they give tickets like it’s 1999……. Sad but true…..

I strongly advise not to travel to sauble beach as there are much better places to visit than this pathetic money hungry town……

Carribean meets Canada

Classic beach town vibe! Great atmosphere. Clean beaches. Fine and clear sand. Lots of different types of pebbles around without it being a hinderance while walking. Shallow for miles. Water was blueush green. Long stretch of shore line that you can walk on all the way to Tobermory- it looks like! Great family vacation with lil ones.

Almost like the Caribbean
Aug 2021 • Family
Like the Caribbean. The water is clear and warm. The beach is sandy. The surrounding is like a beach town in Florida. There’s a lot of space to choose from. We went on a Tuesday before noon and easily got a close parking spot.

Be prepared to get shocked
Jul 2021
The beach is clean and good, the water is perfect but guys beaware the bylaw officers are there to make money. They expect you to make mistakes because the signs are too small for the prohibitted items, they don't listen to any request especially if you don't belong to the same color as they are. So check the signs
before you enter the beach, and do not enter the beach through the dunes (not allowed to walk on dunes), eventhough there is no sign or fence probitting you to enter the beach from there. We went there, and it would have been a better experience if the officers wre kind enough to understand that not all visitors are local. People throughout Ontario would be visiting the beach to enjoy and instead of that they make your experience like hell for making a mistake of bringing a cooking device mistakenly on the beach. There is a very small sign at the main entrance and so please go through the main entrance only and read the sign before you enter.

Astounding blue water beach

An awesome experience not to be missed. This beach is a gem on Lake Huron. There is plenty of shopping and eateries around to give you a wholesome experience. For adventure seekers there are activities like jet skies available. A must visit beach in Ontario.

Ontario's Nicest Besch By Far!
Aug 2021 • Family
I has been told how nice Sauble Beach was so on a vacation in Collingwood, we came over for a day. I couldn't believe how nice and enjoyable it all was. You can park (paid) anywhere along several kilometres of beachfront. So even though there were hundreds of people, everyone was spaced out nicely (unlike nearby Wasaga Besch).

The sand is soft and white, and there are cleaners and enforcement officers making sure there isn't smoking, drinking or dogs which all aren't allowed. The water is a beautiful turquoise and is warm and shallow for at least 50 metres.

The town's main strip leads to the main beach entrance and has shops, cafes, restaurants, fast food outlets and ice cream shops. We loved our visit so much that we came back two days later and already have another trip planned for next summer!

A bit disappointed, not as nice as I had expected
Aug 2021
We were vacationing at Tobermory and made plans to go to Sauble beach one day. My ex-boss live there and she met us and showed us around the town. She also explained as she has been coming there for 20 years that the beach used to be wider but with high water levels it has shrunk. I did find it to be very narrow. The town is a cute town with high-end stores and restaurants not overly touristy ones like Wasaga. I must say I was a bit disappointed, I guess because I had heard people talk about Sauble beach for years that I had expected a much nicer and bigger beach. Still go but readjust your expectations!

Relaxing place to watch the water when it is angry.
Jul 2021
It was a grey and windy weekday in July, but there were plenty of people on the beach. Not crowded but busy. The beach is wide and long so there is plenty of room.
We just sat on a park bench and watched, but people were definitely having fun.
It was windy so the lake was a bit angry. Waves crashing ashore is very soothing.
We are not really beach people so I would not make a special trip here. We do stay with family nearby and would come for lunch at Beach Burger which is just steps away. And then a relax, watching the water helps digestion and attitude.
