Tiny castle under an overhang. Worth the walk to get a feeling of medieval history. It's tiny, so i would suggest it as a part of acwalk rather than a destination in itself. The path down is not in the older weg maps.

This is the only remaining cave castle in the area. While there is only the outline of the ruins, the site is fascinating if you use your imagination to picture what this could have been like. The information board tells the story...including fratricide and how that played into the history of this place. It is a fairly easy hike, but does have a metal bridge across a slight ravine and metal stairs to get to the site. Highly recommended, but don't expect real ruins.

Not much to see. A lovely walk to get there and wildlife information but no information about the ruins which is a shame

There's not much left of this ruined castle, however there is an info board in English to explain the site, which was built in 1200's into the side of the cliff.
It is an interesting site which is free and open at all times.
There are also other free castles nearby in more complete states, including Unspunnen (very close by), Weissenau and Restiturm.
