To reach the entrance to the cave you have to climb a very steep and long zig-zag path, although there are several resting places en route. The temperature in the cave is a constant 10degC, so remember to bring something warm to wear (I didn't!)....More

The lake and the waterfall at the end of the path are beautiful but the lake is a bit smaller than expected. The entrance fee is overpriced for the attraction if you are not a fan of geology so if you decide on doing the...More

Lovely Grotto, we went at a time when it wasn't too busy which was perfect - a large group came a long as we came out and I'm glad we missed them as it would have been very noisy and a bit of a crush...More

This cave looks great inside for sure. As well as its surroundings. But if you have seen great caves before just do not go to this one! Better leave this one and visit the fantastic monastery or the castle in St-Maurice as you will get...More

We took the train from Montreux (CHF44 for two, return), two stops and we arrived at St. Maurice station. Les Grottes aux Fees is clearly signposted from the station and it's less than 1km to get to the bottom of the caves. Don't get fooled...More

I went to the cave first time and I liked it. It was cold inside but that was expected. I really liked the waterfall at the end of the tour. I would recommend it :)

We weren't expecting the hike to the Grotte as there's no mention in the leaflet. For the unfit the one kilometre/thousand yard uphill path can be quite tiring. Not recommended for buggies unless being carried. Inside, it's worth taking a torch as there are gaps...More

Despite of the fact that you have to climb up for the entrance to those grottes - it so cool inside! Almost 500 meters you walk there by the beautiful caves with enlightened pieces or underground small rivers, by the doors that lead to Swiss...More

We liked the steep walk up and enjoyed a lovely lunch at the top overlooking the castle and vineyards below. My husband ordered the plat de jour and I had the Rosti with an egg and both were very good. The cave and the grotto...More

The cave is a little on the cold side so I would recommend a sweater or jacket for going down into the caves. The payoff at the center of the cave is pretty awesome. Highly recommend.
