To reach the entrance to the cave you have to climb a very steep and long zig-zag path, although there are several resting places en route.

This cave looks great inside for sure. As well as its surroundings. But if you have seen great caves before just do not go to this one! Better leave this one and visit the fantastic monastery or the castle in St-Maurice as you will get...More
We took the train from Montreux (CHF44 for two, return), two stops and we arrived at St. Maurice station. Les Grottes aux Fees is clearly signposted from the station and it's less than 1km to get to the bottom of the caves.

We weren't expecting the hike to the Grotte as there's no mention in the leaflet. For the unfit the one kilometre/thousand yard uphill path can be quite tiring. Not recommended for buggies unless being carried. Inside, it's worth taking a torch as there are gaps...More
