We parked for 50p for 4 hours. Visited the cafe, staff very friendly and a good menu. Toilets are clean. A stunning building and nice gardens. We walked down the steps to the beach and strolled along. Nice sandy beach.

Visited this property whilst staying at a hotel in the New Forest, probably wouldn’t have made the trip if I knew the Castle was totally ruined by fires in 1967 and 1968. It’s really just a shell with nothing of its original splendour left. It’s...More

We had anticipated spending a couple of hours here at least but due to the current refurbishment there is little to see internally and we found that after 15 minutes we had seen all that there was to see. We had hoped to descend the...More

Probably too late, but on Hengisbury you can take the 'road train’ which takes you from close to the ferry dock up to the cafe, half way back to ‘Southbourne’ hence half the walk:

Dogs are welcome around the gardens, not sure whether they're meant to be kept on leads or not but they seemed to be running free on the beach, hope that helps.
