A sweet little walk with lots of nature to see, there is also a little cabin with some information on the local nature. Good for a nice walk, or for children and families.

The postocde shown above (BH23 4AU) is not correct. Steamer Point website gives a different postcode (BH23 4PD), which is much closer (but still not perfect). I recommend using postcode BH23 4TA or, if you have the ability to enter co-ordinates, N50:44:04, W1:43:29. Note that...More

Walking along from Avon Beach to Highcliffe Castle its easier than walking along the beach and a much gentler climb on the knees. Not big but well sheltered paths with a few lookout points over the cliffs to IofWight.

Steamer point is a lovely place. There is a car park by the sea which leads you along an open path quickly into a wooded refuge from the elements. We visited on a scorching hot day and we're glad to be walking under the cool...More

Lovely shady walk, great seating for the views, then down some steps to the sandy beach. Quiet and great view of all the nutters on their jet ski’s . We loved it

This is a small plot with a ‘lake’ which itself looks sterile, there was very little bird life when we’ve visited. There wasn’t any info centre (as advertised), to my mind not worth a special trip.

Took the dogs here as it was cooler for them. Lovely and pleasant walk through the shade. The work they have done so far on the restoration is great. The paths are easy to use and wheelchair friendly. Some lovely places to stop and look...More
