Walking along from Avon Beach to Highcliffe Castle its easier than walking along the beach and a much gentler climb on the knees. Not big but well sheltered paths with a few lookout points over the cliffs to IofWight.

Lovely shady walk, great seating for the views, then down some steps to the sandy beach. Quiet and great view of all the nutters on their jet ski’s . We loved it

This is a small plot with a ‘lake’ which itself looks sterile, there was very little bird life when we’ve visited. There wasn’t any info centre (as advertised), to my mind not worth a special trip.

.The reserve offers a lovely shady walk along the cliff top from Mudeford to Highcliffe Castle. Refreshments and car parks at both ends of the walk.

A lovely shady walk amongst the trees and woodland area. It really is a tranquil place just a little way from the beach. Also a small information hut at the Mudeford end.
