Lionspruit is an enclosed game park in Marloth Park. Many of the roads in the park are poor and great care is needed. There are a very small number of lions and only two rhino so chances of viewing were small. However we still saw giraffe(2), kudu, warthog, enough impala to wonder at, zebra and wildebeest (including two young calves). Special to see a lone nyala at a waterhole. Lots of bird sightings. The whole visit was enjoyable and good value

Not a great experience. No lions seen and I highly doubt any lions are there. Vultures and other birds were nice to see but there wasn’t much wildlife l.

Only saw a handful of antelope which are all over the surrounding Marloth Park. The roads inside this reserve are terrible and you'll need an SUV at the very least. It's just really not worth the cost.

We stayed at Lion Tree Bush Lodge and the Lion Spruit Reserve is right there, animal and bird life plentiful in September, the creepy crawlies and mosquitoes not woken up yet so great for us.
Very well equipped with liquor store, butcher, convenience store and fuel station very close.

Well recommended

In May we spent a few days in the 'Greater Kruger View' in Marloth Park and visited the Lionspruit Game Reserve. The self-drive tour through the park allowed us to observe the animals intensively, even though the roads were not ideal. About 4 hours were enough to see numerous animals that gather at the dammed lakes. Even rhinos, lions and leopards live here. We rounded off our trip with a small meal at the Bos Restaurant on the way back.
