About
Kruger Park open vehicle night drives for outside guests. Visitors to the area not staying within the Kruger Park may go on this safari. Experience the nocturnal wildlife of the Kruger Park not seen by many as you may not drive yourself after dark in the park. An experienced ranger will take you on this guided tour and could be your best chance to spot the big cats as they are very active during these drive times. A very special experience driving in the dark within the Big 5's domain. Remember to bring your camera as you will have plenty opportunity to capture images of this memory.

We really enjoyed this drive and to get to see the park in the dark! It is definitely worth doing at least once as you will see some different animals than in the day time!

It is not about the drive, it is about the driver who took us. We went on 2nd June 2019 night drive in a small safari vehicle (10 seater), this is the first time I went in this small one.
I dont remember his name, but he was just driving fast, where you wont have chance to spot anything, even if you spot, in no time we can get back there to look the animal before they run into the bushes.
I have been to north night drive, where you dont see lot of varieties but still the drivers were so friendly and passionate on what they doing.
But this person, clearly did his job for the sake of working, exactly started at 8am and stopped 10pm, when returning he slowed down a bit to meet the 10pm deadline. It was very cold and experience even felt us to return back home at 9 without even continuing.
Hope he learns and does not repeat it. I dont think I will have any worse experience than this. Done many times and this will stay the worst.

We decided to visit Kruger instead of our normal visit to Hluhlwe game park. We have been in 4x during our stay and seen leopard twice, lion and wild dog, loads of Elephants. What I like about Kruger I say all the main camps there are restaurants. So you can go in one gate have breakfast, lunch and late snack at the other camps. I’ve been impressed with the roads, much better than Umfolozi. Natal Parks board could learn a few tips from Kruger. Well done 👍
