After a diversion due to roadworks we eventually found this beautiful building. Well worth getting lost to see. Very friendly tree in the garden too. Staff was lovely and answered any questions we had. Very peaceful place to see. I could have stayed longer.

Went to Bede House and it was full of history, from the first Bishop of Lincoln to being changed into the house for bedsmen a kind of almshouse

Another gem steeped in history, hidden off the beaten track and worth an hour wandering around, interesting story of its use through the years, easy access from parking. Peaceful

I took a party of teenagers to visit and they all enjoyed it. There's not a tremendous amount to see, so it won't occupy you for more than an hour or so, but it's full of interest and there's a nice shop as well.

Worth stopping by if you’re in the area. Not very big or much to see but it’s good for killing some time. Entry fee is not cheap for what it is, so better if you’re an English heritage member

This was the stop-over point for the Bishops of Lincoln whilst visiting their Diocese. The upper floor reflects this with the hall and the apartments. The place became an Almshouse, and the rest of the building has many small chambers which were used by past...More
