Fantastic view of Mt. Fuji and Lake Yamanaka. We chanced upon it on our way to Gotemba. It's a slightly longer route than the highway but the views were worth it. Nice curvy roads for a sporty drive.

An another great new point for both Mt.Fuji and Lake Yamanaka. It’s only accessible by car or bicycle. No public bus available as far as I saw when I was there. Very peaceful. Car parking space was limited. No venders. Just a view point but...More

The view is not as panoramic as from he north shore of lake kawaguchiko. Viewing of Mt. Fuji is highly weather dependent. We went there but it was covered by cloud. The weather changes quickly, it was raining heavily just after we left. Be prepared!

The hotel we stayed the night before recommended this location to us. Which is a 10-minute drive away from Lake Yamanakako. We stayed for around 20 minutes and enjoyed the great views. There even is a toilet available!

What an incredible viewing point that overlooks Mt. Fuji on Yamanakako Lake! It is located in the middle of prefectural road reaching from Yamanakako Mikuni. Of course, the views highly depend on weather, however we went there at dusk and had a fantastic viewing experience!...More

We walked past here on our hike. It was hilarious. Took photos of the boards because we could see ZIP. Toilets are squat only - had toilet paper but no towels. Other than that, nothing there.

You can hike to the Panoramic Viewing Platform from Plaza Kirara (which is what I did), and travel the final 600 meters by paved road. The 90 minute hike itself is mainly through wooded area so you won’t get much of a view of the...More
