Le Struthof Concentration Camp puts one in touch with the evil man imposes on man. The camp is hidden high up on a now-peaceful mountainside. It is small, easy to cover in a 2-4 hour block of time and has written and pictorial displays in...More

Well organized and professionally presented. We read online that it would take 2-3 hours to see, but wished we had more like 5 hours, so that we could read the signs more thoroughly and not hurry from one thing to the next. The museum in...More

We have been to Dachau in Germany and it's free entry as it is a place to educate today's generation on the history of the Nazis so I was surprised and disappointed to have to pay 8 euros to get in. However is has plenty...More

Having visited a number of camps elsewhere in Europe I was surprised to find there was one in France. I've been through the Vosges area a few times and now understand why. Situated at the top of a high hill above Natzweiler you have to...More

This is located on the top a mountain in the Vogue mountains. There is a museum which details the history and the reason behind the camp as well as some of the inmates who were imprisoned here. You then walk around the camp. It was...More

On the winding picturesque road up to the camp it is hard to imagine the horrors that took place in such a beautiful forest setting. But man's inhumanity is lade bare throughout the camp in the exhibits. Chilling, emotional but well worth a visit if...More

It is a pleasant trip through the forest to get there and the beautiful surrounding scenery belies the utterly awful things that happened there. It is still pretty much intact and has a range of good displays. You need a car as some of the...More
