Large nature reserve on the border of Belgium and Neherlands. Excellant for walking/running. But also has masses of birds, butterflies and mayflies.

De Kalmthoutse Heide is a real nice area to take a walk or have a run. Beautiful nature, large area with different walking routes. Dogs need to be on a leech.

A huge area of amazing beauty covered with wild flowers, erica bushes and berries, birch and pine trees that shade the sandy paths, small and large ponds that shine under the open blue sky, a breathtaking view that relaxes your eyes and your soul.

You can have a stop at restaurant '"De Heihoeve" or next door at "Crepes and Stones". There is plenty of parking space and an entrance to the park is right across the street.
