We visited here on a round the island trip from a cruise ship. This was a welcome high point from an otherwise uninspiring drive. We had wine included, not just one glass, you could try what you wanted of the range of table and dessert...More
We firstly visited one afternoon on an organised trip to try a few wines. We were very impressed with everything so booked a table for two one evening. We tried a number of different wines and also had a meat platter and a cheese platter...More
We absolutely loved our visit to Santos wines. It is a stunning restuarant with amazing views. The wine tasting options are also very good for money. We visited Santos Wines twice in four days because it was so lovely. Highly recomend everyone that enjoys wine...More
We organised a hen party at this vineyard for around 30 of us in August. The staff were a bit difficult to get hold of at times via email when trying to organise this visit from the UK, however when we arrived the place was...More
If there is one thing you do whilst visiting Santorini, I would suggest that you go here. We participated in wine tasting as part of a day trip organised by our travel company. When we arrived we were blown away with the beautiful views. They...More
We were there in the afternoon, and we thought that it was ok, but not great.
The pluses: 1) It does have a great view of the Caldera. 2) The food they serve tastes good.
The negatives: 1) They only have 2 sweet wines. There...More
Santo Wines was recommended to us and we were really glad we went! The view over the caldera is incredible, we booked and did the 10 wine flight and arrived just before sunset. Brilliant way to spend an evening, breath-taking views and delicious wines!
We loved this place! They did not try to persuade us to buy wine and ship from there. They actually informed us of a vendor, Yianni’s wine store in Virginia. They carry some (not all) of Santo’s wines. They helped us place the order and...More
We walked here from our hotel in Pyrgos and loved it. The tasting wines were good value and they were all delicious. We opted just to have a few tasters but next time if we had more time we would have done the wine flights!!
Not sure if this is the nearest hotel but we stayed at the Cori Rigas Suites, Agiou Mina, Thira, Santorini, 84700, GR. I promise you, you will not be disappointed - even if it's just having breakfast on the terrace... More
Not sure if this is the nearest hotel but we stayed at the Cori Rigas Suites, Agiou Mina, Thira, Santorini, 84700, GR. I promise you, you will not be disappointed - even if it's just having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the shimmering sea.
Thira is halfway up Santorini on the left hand side and the views are truly stunning. We rented a car and drove all round the island, so we did several wineries including Santo. Sunset is a nice time to be there; but then there many other incredible viewing spots on the island - including the Cori Rigas Suites. For the record, our room, which was enormous, was off a little courtyard full of flowering plants and vines. All very special. Highly recommend this hotel.

Hello! There aren't any hotels near the winery. The closest hotels are located in the Iraklion city center. The area on the way to the winery (a 10-15 minute drive) is purely residential and then countryside (believe it or not). There are other things to do close to the winery like the Palace of Knossos (which I also recommend).
