The Council intend to charge for parking along the seafront between Sandgate & Hythe. This area has been free for years but now the council want to put you off by charging huge amounts just to visit this beach

Lovely beach, with a great path along it, there was lots of people out walking, jogging, cycling and rowing. It was clean. We went for a walk along be for going in the tunnel. Highly recommend if your in the area.

The beach at Sandgate is a stoney pebble one shelving steeply towards the sea. However the promenade walk is very good and the air fresh and clean. Plenty of friendly walkers and cyclists.

I walk along this beach nearly every day, it's a lovely spot. There is new development happening along here all the time, take a look now before it goes crazy Benidorm.

I stood here with the kids and watched the sun go down whilst the waves crashed against the stones. Despite it being a freezing cold winters day, the sea with its baby blue hue transported me to a much warmer climate. I could have been...More

Always a great place for a Sunday afternoon stroll. Lots of shops on the highstreet for a bite to eat. Little shops and cafes. Great spot for an evenings fish n chips picnic.

Pot luck really. Beach is being replenished at moment. Avoid rock groins. I've been lucky at the riviera end, which is about 500yards east of Sandgate Castle. Good luck.
