You can walk to The Meadows from the suspension bridge, it’s a lovely walk along The River Dee. It’s a nice place for a picnic.

Cross the suspension bridge at The Groves or ride the ferry across at Sandy Lane to The Meadows. Walk along the river - you can go as far as Alford or just from the suspension bridge to the ferry and loop back into the city....More

If you haven't been yet, get on it! This area of Chester is stunning and peaceful. A perfect location for a summer picnic or a long walk with the dog.

Lovely to walk along with dogs for a good run by the river. Peaceful,and beautiful views of the lovely houses the other side and wildlifeon the river, relaxing

This ais a great place for a sunny walk or even an evening stroll for something to do in Chester. Views of the ce houses across the river and spots to sit down and enjoy self with food
