It was a pleasure to spend a couple of hours poring over the displays and marine artefacts in the museum. Admission is not expensive and it was fascinating to find out a bit more about Appledore's marine heritage.

Small museum set over 3 floors. Varied and interesting exhibits. Friendly and helpful staff. Bargain entry fee of just £3. We spent an enjoyable couple of hours there.

On a fine sunny morning we visited this beautifully-presented museum - really packed full of treasures. We were most warmly welcomed and really did enjoy our visit. Thank you. We most certainly plan to come back next year and bring our little grandchildren too.

We spent a little over an hour at this small but very full museum. There are plenty of information boards throughout the 7/8 rooms which explain about Appledore's shipbuilding history. I liked all the artefacts - loads of model ships - many built lovingly by...More

I would say this museum is not wheelchair or scooter friendly as it is on 2 floors (no lifts) and the door widths would not be big enough. I can't remember if if there are steps up to the entrance or not.
