Fascinating display of the history of local shipping from the vikings to the present day. Lots of interesting artefacts and models showing the progress and disasters in maritime history. Plus a local authority car park just across the road. Well worth a visit.

Lots of artifacts to see and interesting displays. Very friendly. These museums are important for us and need visitors and support to make sure they will always be available. Huge support from the local volunteers who keep it open and available to visitors.

A very welcoming place, well presented with very good models and old photographs. The building itself is also well worth a look at. A very good job done by volunteers, would recommend anyone in the area to visit.

I would say this museum is not wheelchair or scooter friendly as it is on 2 floors (no lifts) and the door widths would not be big enough. I can't remember if if there are steps up to the entrance or not.
