Booked via Whats App. Very quick response. The guides are actively involved with conservation efforts for the Humpback whales and turtles. The guide was a Marine biologist and the other an engineer. Great and bilingual. We saw two groups of whales, one was very active, we saw one breach and several dives. Recommended with this group definitely.

We went out for the big fish trolling and we had a great day! We catched 2 tunas 2 Pericos and 1 Dorado. We also saw some fin whales and a Sun fish. Captain Gonzalo and his crew where excelent hosts and prepared us food and cut up the tunas for us to take home the meat. The boat is big and in excellent shape.
Best 15hours ever!

It was just amazing. I didnt expect such a wonderful yatch for the price they asked. The comfort was total. We saw several whales, swam with turtles and visit the old oil platform where sea lions welcome us. Two tours for the price of one. I recomend it to every body. Gonzalo, the captian is an awesome host. Bottom line they made me feel at home.

This is supposedly a tour to see marine wildlife from Órganos. It is a total waste of money and I saw more wildlife better from the shore. The boat took us out to the gas platform a couple of kilometres offshore where we saw 10 sea lions sitting on the steps. Then we came back to Órganos and “swam with turtles” in the bay, the only problem being that there were no turtles for the first 30 minutes where we anchored as they hang around the fisherman’s wharf. Eventually one turned up, but 40 plus can easily be seen at the pier. The “guide” sat in the cabin on her phone and did not point out anything or provide any information. I have done several of these trips over the years with other companies and this was the worst boat tour I have ever been on. Total rip-off for the cost, go with another company or walk on the beach and go to a beach restaurant as you will see more wildlife.

I had an amazing experience with Oceanica Expeditions and saw several whales and a pod of hundreds of dolphins. The staff were all very helpful and knowledgeable about the animals, environment, and history of the area - several were biologists who also collected information for their research on the marine life. I learned a lot from them as they explained more about the whales and their behaviour, and it was easy to understand because the staff members speak both Spanish and English. The captain follows international best practices when it comes to boating near wildlife - they give them space so the whales don’t feel like they’re being chased.

I originally booked tickets to go out on the boat for two days. The captain recognized me on my second day out, and was extremely kind and invited me to come for a third day for free! I saw different things on the boat each day, and if you have time, I’d definitely recommend going out for more than one day too!

Another highlight was swimming with the sea turtles at the end of the tour. You aren’t supposed to touch the turtles because it can make them sick, but they’re very curious and will swim up close to you. Bring goggles to see them better underwater. And if you’re not a strong swimmer, they have life jackets you can wear too.

The boat is a lot bigger than those of the other tour companies, and is probably better for people who get seasick easily or need access to a bathroom.

They sent a taxi to pick me up outside my hotel in Mancora every morning. This was great because the boat leaves very early in the morning, and there are a lot less taxis on the road at this time.

Oceanica Expeditions whale tour is a must do in Los Órganos, Peru. It is a morning trip filled with wildlife, fun, food, and good company. The trip itself entails going out into open ocean to try and spot migrating whales. The staff always does everything they can to make sure a whale is spotted. The yacht is then brought to a local dock where you can spot and snorkel with turtles.

The whole staff and crew are very accommodating and ensure the happiness of their visitors. You are constantly surrounded by beautiful open ocean with views of the hills in the distance... all from the comfort of a beautiful yacht. The food is also delicious and every detail is well thought out.

The snorkel with the turtles is perfect for those animal lovers and adventure seekers - the turtles are so beautiful and majestic, and it is most definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

This tour is altogether perfect for any person... couples, a family, young children, older individuals, adventure seekers, biologists - anyone who is excited to see one of the pacific's biggest beauty.

A trip you won't forget - some may even call it magical.

We've done plenty of these day trips around Peru but Oceanica has a service that is above and beyond anything I could have dreamed. First of all, the customer service is unbeatable. They were quick to answer my emails, calls to confirm our trip, and my sister even lost her cell phone and they helped us track it down in a matter of minutes. Second, the boat is gorgeous! You truly feel like a VIP on this beautiful boat and every minute our lovely host, Gonzalo, and his staff were making sure we had everything we needed. Third, these people really care about the wildlife. You'd see these tiny boats around us get WAY too close to the humpback whales (who btw are either mothers just having given birth OR mothers about to give birth). They made sure to keep their distance without sacrificing the views of these gorgeous creatures. I cannot express our grateful we were to have this experience. To top it all off we saw a BLUE WHALE! 1000% recommend and I hope that everyone has this same experience.

Where to start, this was an AMAZING experience. The Yatch was fully loaded with all of the amenities and safety features one could desire. But above all was the crew. Not only was it FIRST CLASS SERVICE, Gonzalo was fun, really informative, and extremely EcoFriendly. Before getting into the water we were instructed what the proper interaction with the animals. While I was snorkeling with the sea tortoises I noticed that the other tours said nothing to the passengers about taking care of the marine life. I am so happy with my experience and cannot wait to have another.. THANKS GONZALO!!!

Although we didn’t see many whales, it was a pleasant trip. We heard the whale’s chanting – it was amazing! During the trip you also have the opportunity to swim with turtles. You can also see sea lions and pelicans. I wish that the biologist onboard would have a more active role and inform people. If you suffer from seasickness make sure you have a light breakfast and take “gravol” once you wake up.
