Not really that scenic and beautiful. And hence the name is in a way a misnomer. But a good place to spend some time boating.

Its a small water body with lots of fish in it. Unfortunately people snack around the place and throw the waste in the lake. You can give it a miss!

Great views of small lake surrounded by hills and greenery. Not very well maintained though. Not much to do except, horse riding and a Shiva temple. Enjoy views for 20-30 minutes and you are done

Online I had read that Dal Lake is quite beautiful so made it a point to visit. The lake is a murky brown color and filled with plastic bags and plastic bottles. The surrounding area (which boasts short hiking trails) is also covered with trash.
