Gabrielskloof is a new and exciting winery situated on the N2, between Botriver and Caledon. We are the latest addition to the Botriver wine ward, and since opening our doors to the public in August 2009, we have hosted some exciting events, including quarterly food and wine pairings. Gabrielskloof offers the visitor a spectacular cellar experience, tasting room, restaurant and deli with 360 degree overberg views. Come and sample our superb wines, home grown olive oils, and wholesome local country fare.

We were introduced to the Shiraz and it was fantastic , really out of this world. So in passing we also picked up two litres of Olive Oil . Unfortunately 5 weeks down the road and it is so bitter as to be unuseable . Its a pity as the Olive oil has awards all over it but it really... More

A small nice place, wonderful! The owner guided us himself. His value and mission is perceptible. Great Shiraz, delicious olives and olive oil. Nexttime I'll come vor lunch

We were greeted by an unhappy and sullen lady who had little personality and was more interested in getting us out of the tasting room and to buy wine. After the tasting we went to the restaurant and it was so expensive we left.

We had a great lunch there on our way to Swellendam. We went on a Sunday afternoon without a reservation and was lucky to get the last table in the restaurant ( even though it was after 2pm). Clearly a popular choice. We saw around 15-20 blue cranes on the way there- an amazing sight! The sevice was good and... More

Second trip here. Both times wine tasting then a meal in restaurant. It is now a firm favourite on our annual South African holiday! Wonderful choice in restaurant and the calamari starter was wonderful. Plate of day tempura prawns in mango salsa was amazing. Will definitely be back next trip! Glad wine now being sold in uk - even though... More

Was a lovely morning spent drinking wine and eating cheese platters. The wine is divine and the wine tasting/food prices were reasonable compared to the farms in the stellenbosch/franschhoek area.
