There are three towers still standing ,you climb narrow stone staircases in each of them. Each level has one room and they have been set up to give a sense of life in the Middle Ages. Nice for kids and great view on the terrace...More

Little but authentic. Nice views. Also a nice little town. A friendly and warm welkom by the staf. I would recomend it.

We have spent a week in Allier and this short visit was a highlight! Generally the Auvergne Region seems pretty unwelcoming to the tourist but the Forteresse at Bourbon is an exception. Charming welcome, freshly brewed coffee and tea and a well run tourist attraction....More
