The station is impressive so it's really worth the while to do the tour. You can only visit the main room, everything else is being closed. The building bears a lot of interesting facts and stories, though I did have a feeling that the guide...More

We didn’t do the tour since we had 3 little children who would get bored quickly by going in just one room. We explored warehouses and rooms and asked what must have been in the rooms. A good way to entertain the children’s imaginations.

There are guided tours around the old ,now disused, station which unfortunately we were unable to avail ourselves but the sheer scale of the old station is impressive. Hard to believe it was at the cutting edge of international travel not much more than 100...More

I found Canfranc Estacion fascinating. It is amazing to think they built something like this high up in the Pyrenees. You can only enter with a guide for 3 Euros who gives the tour in Spanish. But for people that do not speak Spanish a...More

This place is quite extraordinary. It should be in St Petersburg and not a tiny village. It is the remains of a quite magnificent structure with Pyrenean snow behind. The best bit is the view from outside, but do take the guided tour, if just...More

We travelled from Jaca to visit the Train station. We did not realice that you had to book in advance. You can access one side of the station without payment but to access the best part it cost €20.00, and booking in advance. The cost...More

This is well worth exploring. In recent times, trains have visited since 2014, but you can still wander the old tracks, abandoned engines and engine sheds, to get a flavour of the massive and monumental Nazi architecture that epitomised the Third Reich and its friends....More

The size and location is unbelievable but the building is worth seeing and clearly has a future as it is now undergoing restoration. It will be fantastic to visit again in a few years when complete especially if the line reopens as promised.
