We loved this chateau. So much family history, excellent audio description giving depth to the history. It’s not huge so has a feeling of a home. Interesting extras as has been used as film location. Lovely gardens and grounds.
The chateau is amazing. It is breathtakingly beautiful and popular for wedding photos. I would recommend the audio guide as it is one of the best I have ever used. The commentary is from the perspective of a time traveller and they aim to ensure...More
After Disneyland Paris, wanted to see a chateau in the local area. Arrived at 1140am to be told it shuts at 12 even though we were the only visitors on site. Wasted an hour of my life on the RER and Bus 220 to see...More
Completely out of known circuit, this jewel under restoration deserves a visit. Fantastic gardens, well preserved building and furniture, full of History and calm, so you can enjoy all the time with no crowd surrounding you.
Last year I visited the beautiful Chateau de Champs-sur-Marne just outside Paris to see an excellent exhibition of 18th century costumes set out on open display in the wonderfully restored rooms. Not only was the exhibition beautifully presented and interpreted, but each room had the...More
I have wanted to visit for a long time, since they reopened in 2013 after years of restorations. What a wonderful château, built between 1703 and 1706, away from the crowds that is really beautifully furnished. The bonus was the special “Belle Époque aux Années...More

The Chateau is about 30 minutes away from Disneyland Paris. It often takes longer than what Google maps say. Look on a computer first to get the idea of where you are going. Then in the car, use an up to date GPS, as it is a must ! Driving is the way to go. There is street parking on the streets opposite the Chateau, but you will have to hunt, even up to two blocks away. Observe where others are parked. Look at the adjacent streets in advance on Google street level pictures through Google Maps. Walk in the main front gate and proceed to a gift shop on the far left where you buy the entrance ticket to be later presented at the main middle front entrance door of the Chateau. 7.50E Have good walking shoes for gravel, as you will want to walk the grounds. There might be a special show on, of costumes or other things when you visit, so ask. It was easy to see the two inside floors in one hour. Camera allowed (no flash) Be very respectful of others when taking pics. The camera person is the lowest priority person in the room, so one might have to wait in silence for awhile to get the nice shot...be unobtrusive...lookers and browsers have more right of way than any photographer. Not much in restaurants around there.
