West Kirby Marine Lake is a great place to visit, and walk around. It only takes about 20 minutes to walk around it’s perimeter. Lovely in all weathers with views over to Hilbre island and North Wales.

I've not taken a boat out on the lake, however, it's a lovely place for a stroll. Can be combined with a longer walk to Hilbre or the Wirral Way. Sunset can be very nice

A nice place to visit. Would recommend the ‘Lake Walk’ and watch the wind surfers. When you first approach it, it looks like people are walking on water but it’s quite wide. A single road with new tarmac. Would suggest waterproof shoes as sometimes the...More

Great place to visit for sailing, canoeing, windsurfing or just people watching as they enjoy a leisurely stroll along the promenade and around the perimeter of the lake. Recognised as one of the best places in the UK for watching spectacular sunsets.

Loved watching the canoeists, sail boat enthusiasts enjoying them selves on the Marina Lake. The very nice boats moored in the Marina were of all shapes & sizes! Great place to sit & watch while you eat your ice cream.

Come here often for a walk around the marina. Nice to see wind surfers and boats/canoes on a nice day. Beautiful scenery across the lovely sandy beach to Hilbre Island and beyond. One of the many beautiful places on Wirral.

This is on my doorstep so I may be biased - but it’s beautiful. About 1.2 miles all the way round with Wales across the water. Partying at Morrison’s (restrictions apply) or the council car park next to it. Great for a brisk walk -...More

I love the concept of the marine lake. It’s amazing! It’s nice to walk around the lake - it’s like walking in the sea. It’s entertaining when there are people sailing in the lake to watch them too. I always enjoy it on a sunny...More

...Hoylake is lovelier. The walk around the lake wall is excellent but you'd be better walking the 1.8 miles of Kings gap to Bennetts Lane I reckon, especially on a sunny evening...
