Hike to the falls takes a couple of hours there and back. An enjoyable hike on a clear day. Not difficult but there is some climbing up and down inclines and tree roots. Much of hike while in the woods also along the river and...More

We enjoyed walking along the riverbank to the waterfall. A fun hike, beautiful and with the sound of the water rushing around. Also possible while wearing our daughter in a baby carrier.

Lovely, fairly easy walk to a small waterfall. Beautiful way to spend a sunny morning — but not in the afternoon rain!

A very peaceful hike with wild avocado, oak and other huge buttress trees shading the trail. Surrounded by birdsong the whole way. The temperature is generally cooler than one would expect in Costa Rica but given the elevation should be understood. We saw many species...More

There is a nice walk along the river to the waterfall. However beware that the second part of the walk after the metal bridge is dangerous. There is a sign which says don't go beyond this point in bad weather. However even in good weather...More
