Tucked away but well signed. Wonderful collection of items and information about bygone days in this wonderful village and surrounding area. Friendly informative staff. well worth a visit.

this was a well presented if small, take on local culture and life around reeth particular lead mining and sheep as I recall.

Thank you for your review, we like to think we pack a lot into a relatively small place - once the day school for Reeth - moving from geological foundations to the decline of the chert quarrying in the 1910s. Thanks for visiting us.

Very interesting local museum with something for everyone. It has information about the local area including lead ming and tools of the trade. Local artefacts are also on display. You can also get tea and coffee and cake.
