I was attracted by the ding dong sound when getting out of the nearby station to find the amazing clock at the centre of the plaza playing sound and demonstration of statues. It is a must see in this area of Tokyo, especially it is...More

This steampunk clock is a melancholic monstrosity of fantasy and industry. It looks like Tim Burton and Neil Gaiman got a bunch of 19th Century venture capitalists together to design a watch and this is what they emerged with. Definitely worth seeing - shows are...More

Being huge Studio Ghibli fans, we were delighted to discover this Studio Ghibli clock right by our hotel! We loved seeing the display when the clock comes to life!

Imagine turning a corner and then seeing.a wild punk-steam clock. With a little more exploration there is a performance schedule posted nearby: 10:00 12:00 15:00 18:00 20:00 Be sure to be there a few minutes early to see the full several minute performance.

Ghibli fans must stop here to enjoy the shows that happen at 3pm, 6pm and 8pm. It's a waltzy cacophony that springs to life Miyazaki style! I went at 5:45pm on a rainy day, so it wasn't busy at all.

Was staying at the hotel next door walked by several times on the way to dinner interesting if you are in the area. As it is part of a tv station building can get busy as they have outside broadcasts.

The Nittere Plaza click was interesting. I watched it at 3pm and 8pm. Get there about 10 minutes prior to the hour because crowds do gather. The click starts its performance about five minutes before the hour.

Cool but not much to look at or amazing shops. Couple good gift shops. Not much beyond that. Perhaps I should have researched the history or significance.

We watched the clock while it started to animate a few minutes before 6pm, it was fun, nice and not to be missed if you are around close from the time it works.
