The first garden I visited when going to Japan. Very beautiful and spread out. Its larger then it seems when entering. I reccomend seeing the houses built in the middle of the lake with bridges connecting it to the land. Makes for a nice picture.

A short walk from the famous Tsukiji fish market, the gardens are peaceful and beautiful. Handicap accessible, but also stepping stone paths. Beautiful water works with ponds, streams and fountains. Leave at the last minute and see lots of feral cats come out, very cool!

This is a garden wrapped around a pretty lake. The garden has no flowers -- only grass and evergreen trees -- but is pretty nonetheless. We had tea in the tea house that was among the best I had in Japan. We had ice in...More

After the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, this is a gem. A quiet stroll umoung a stunning garden with the city backdrop. In summer it is all green, late May the wisteria is out. So any season is great

We were staying at the Andaz Tokyo so the gardens were an easy 20-30 minute walk from the hotel. Beautiful gardens in the middle of Tokyo. We were too late for the cherry blossoms but there were plenty of other flowers to enjoy. We spent...More

Just go there in the morning and enjoy how beautiful and calm the area is. There is even the option to take a boat from the park.

These beautiful and relaxing gardens are surrounded by the city and Tokyo Bay. Pathways take you round lakes that change level with the tide, and across bridges. New replica wooden houses have recently been built and a tea house on a lake provides welcome refreshment...More

To my knowledge, there is a charge to enter the garden for everyone, there MIGHT be a discount, but it's been so long I don't recall. Japan rarely does the "kids enter free" thing to my knowledge.
