If you follow Cesar Manrique, this will be the holy grail, for others it’s some blokes house dating back to the 60’s/70’s. Well kept both inside and out along with the large artists studio, I don’t think it warrants the €10 entrance fee. No car park here, just parking along the roadside if you can find a space.…

Definitely one of the highlights of our few days in Lanzarote. Really nice to see how Cesar lived and see his design style and architecture. First day out to visit this amazing place. So much to see and was well worth the visit. Could not believe the amount of photos and artwork inside this home he engineered into the landscape. Lovely quotes from Cesar around various walls.

I am a bit of an art and architecture philistine, but I loved it here. The integration of Canarian tradition with more modern forms, the large open spaces in the house, bringing the bathrooms in contact with nature, his art studio, the modern artwork (that I’m not always a fan of). I loved it and would recommend to anyone remotely interested in architecture, art and design. The village it is in is also picturesque, worth a wander and a coffee.…
