Yes you can get a tram from Benidorm to Calp - you need to board a tram heading for `Denia` on Line 9 - just cross over to the far platform when your at Benidorm tram station track-side - BTW most of the transport staff speak english should you need help.
You need to buy your ticket either at the machines in foyer/ticket office (easy to navigate providing you press the english flag symbol button) or the ticket desk to get through the automatic barriers that allow you to access the platform.
Please note you can also buy your tickets on the tram itself if alighting at other stops.
Journey time is about 40 minutes.
I am unsure if the ticket machines offer a day return ticket, but just buy a single ticket each way = should be no more than about 2.70 euros per person one way.
