Found out about this beach from a local realtor. Drove down, paid the 1500 Colones to park, and began to explore. As many other reviews have stated, this beach is known for its caves. Since we arrived right before low tide, we were able to...More

Fee to park, Nice clean beach. The caves are something to see. Walked half way through as the tide was coming in.

Be sure to check on tide times so you can visit when the water is low enough to walk through the caves. The beach was really wonderful. The sand was soft, the waves fun, and water clear and clean. We generally found the beaches in...More

We traveled up and down the west coast of Costa Rica to find the best beaches. This beautiful, lush, beach cove was one of our favorites. The jungle was so green and full of all types of tropical plants. The sand was a darker brown...More

this beach is the first or second beyond the National Park so you pay for parking but not per head to enjoy it, yet there were lifeguards there today when we went and the sand is glorious and the coconut palms fringe the beach beautifully...More

Beautiful sandy beach...close parking. Not too crowded. Bordered by cliffs on each side. Not a lot of undertow and great waves

This is a great beach to go to! You pay 2,000 Colones to get in, but the beach is safe, clean, there are cabanas (for a small fee) and food stands. The waves are fun and the caves are fun to watch when the tide...More

We visited Ventana Beach on our recent visit to Ojochal. Overall it was pretty laid back. Easy walk from the car to the beach. We were there at low tide, but never made it to the caves! Oh well, we'll just have to go back!

This beach is not very busy and actually a very chill spot. There’s a few really cool caves you can walk into during low tide. And a river that feeds into the ocean with some awesome views.

Located a few miles south of Ojochal, Playa Ventanas is a very pretty beach, especially noteworthy due to the windows in the cliffs through which sea water surges during high tide. At low tide, one can safely stroll through these tunnels.

This beautiful beach is located on the lower SW coast of Costa Rica. There is a small entry fee and security always.
