Paternoster Beach

It's a wide beach located in Paternoster. It was not busy as we were the only ones on the beach at the time. Great for walks any time of day.

Not the blue waters of the Cape peninsula but a wide expanse of sand for people and their kids and canine kids. The beach extends well beyond high tide so no matter the tides you can have a bit of beach to yourself. Appears to be good for beach-coming too.

Beautiful beach walks along a very pretty sandy beach. Tidal pools, beach sunsets and largely unpopulated stretch of seaside.

Paternoster beach is beautiful, broad and long - an amazingstretch of coastline to take your family and dogs to. The best part of this beach is not in-front of the houses though, but further north towards and along the nature reserve. It is great for running and walking. It is also more quiet and private.

We had a couple of good long walks during the weekend we spent in Paternoster. The beach is clean, and at low tide the sand is nice and hard for walking and mountain biking. Had a lovely cycle one morning - 15 kms there and back on the beach.

The town of Paternoster retains it's traditional aesthetic, the beach while shorter than nearby Langebaan is well kept and offers great walks, watching the fishermen bring in the catch and enjoy the views. can be windy.

We walked up and down this beautiful beach, the sea was icy, but fresh. Lovely sand and a magnificent wind-free day

This is a gorgeous sandy beach but it has two big negatives. The water is freezing cold, and people are driving their cars, with braais and boat trailers right on the beach. I prefer my beaches car-free.

The beach is easy to access and long enough for a reasonable stroll. All types of shells can be found on and below the high tide limit.

The main, northern bay is long and broad. Cars drive on the hard sand, which looks more like a cement/sand mixture than a "white beach". And because of plenty of sharp mussel shells, sandals are recommended. The more southern beach is a bit smaller but cleaner; and without cars. More to the south there's a lot of kelp on the... More
