Gorgeous family run pub and restaurant
Aug 2021 • Couples
Found this amazing pub while staying locally. Order a drink and you get a free tapas so you can have a lovely evening for next to nothing in a fantastic setting.

Family run and the food was amazing. A great evening sitting on the terrace whilst watching the sun set across the mountains.

Worth a visit

Lovely village tapas bar
Oct 2019 • Couples
Visited this when we were looking at a house we hope to purchase soon. It was just what we needed ice cold beer and excellent tapas all for E2 a go. It has a great atmosphere with a nice outside terrace and a big restaurant I side, looks like we will be visiting this a lot.

Pleasant but overpriced...
Aug 2019
The staff were friendly, the food was good, although one dish was rather cold.
We just felt that €39 for 2 small plates of meat in tomato sauce and two plates of chips and a round of drinks (2 of which were water) was really steep. Just myself, my wife and our 9-year-old.
Mind you... they were very busy and being the only eatery in the village, a bad review on here will make no difference to their practices. They saw us coming and we walked right into it.

Wonderfully authentic

We loved our stop overs at the Venezia, completely authentic and unspoilt. The tapas were great and their ice cold beer was a life saver! Wonderfully friendly family owners who patiently helped us struggle with our “school” Spanish!

Wish we had this at home!

We were lucky and found this bar on our first day. The owner and locals were all really friendly, the beer was perfect and the tapas was the best food we had in the whole of our visit which included trips to several restaurants.
The view from the balcony is beautiful as is the huge open fire inside keeping the place snug and warm on the chillier evenings.

Inflated prices for tourists ?
Jul 2017 • Family
Just visited the Cafe Bar Venecia and was charged over 35 euros for a round of drinks and tapas for 5 (including 2 kids) this is about 3 times the amount we have been charged elsewhere including the middle of Granada. I would suggest we were charged a tourist rate, very disappointed as everywhere else we have been in the region has been very honest and reasonable

Friendly staff and welcome

Stopped here whilst touring the area, for a couple of drinks and Tapas. Think the new motorway may have taken a lot of custom from the area as it has been by- passed for a more direct route to Grenada and beyond. Speedy and pleasant service in a very quiet area. Views around are quite spectacular especially around the reservoir in the mountains..Worth a visit as felt like the real Andalusia, not just for tourists like other places visited!

Good Tapas, Beautiful setting in the mountains lovely views!!

Lovely Bar for Beer and Tapas. Eaten there two years running and the two best things about this Bar are the homely environment with a lovely log fire on a cold night, followed by the beautiful vista of the Lecrin Valley in all it's splendor from the balcony tables.

The Tapas is varied and freshly prepared but best visited later in the evening when more staff are in the kitchens. However the Managment are keen to make you welcome and a most enjoyable visit for beer and tapas at a reasonable price.
