Nice market with a very nice outdoor play area for kids up to 8 years. It has a nearby cafe for parents to relax while kids run around in a gated playground with new play equipment.

Unlike the much larger market in Funchal, no one bothered us and we were free to wander around and enjoy looking at everything. Lovely mural on walls inside and out.
