Beautiful monastery and library right in the towns old center. Unfortunately in summer the beautiful garden is closed and the basilica and grotto are under renovation but we are very excited to return when they are open. The library tour was short and the lady...More

This is a religious sightseeing hotspot you can`t miss. Very impressive. If you have the luck to join a workship - you`ll never forget this atmosphere!

Wonderful baroque monastery visible from a distance. Beautiful interior. But now the reconstruction of interiors to 2017.

The Basilica and library are the reasons to come to Waldsassen. They are really extraordinary. The library is quite like the one in Heidelberg, But this one in Waldsassen you can actually enter whereas in Heidelberg you must view at a distance from the entrance....More

Great carvings and paintings. Historically very interesting and only 3 Euro for a guided tour. Slippers are provided to save the beautiful hardwood floors.
