Good way to spend 45 minutes to an hour exploring Roman life 2000 years ago. Visitor Centre has some nice finds dug up during the excavation

Relatively small as forts go and situated on a road junction rather than the wall itself, this supply fortis well displayed with a good audio baton system and a compct museum

A fascinating trip back in time. The Romans really were clever with the way they went about building Hadrians Wall and the forts along the Wall

I understand the history of the site, but basically for the price of admission and what is there, you can look at pictures and get a better view than actually being there. I would have chosen to spend the money and time in another location.

This place is fantastic. A century of archaeology has shown us a portion of a wonderful Roman military settlement. Beautifully uncovered and very evocative. Very helpful lady on the reception desk too. Well worth a visit.

Well laid out display, explaining time line and development of Corbridge as a n important trading centre. Excavated ruins demonstrated the original layout well.

Most Roman sites in Britain are military, but Corbridge is a civil town - maybe a resort for Centurion holidays. Only the foundations are visible, so you really need a guide to get the best out of it. There is an audio guide which is...More

Wow what an amazing place this must have been as a town supplying the Roman Armies, the grain stores were massive and impressive. We really loved the indoor exhibition well as it covered the development of the place over several hundred years. When you think...More

We have visited many historical excavations as an interest in our, and others, past is important. Some have been good and others, abysmal. Corbridge comes in the fantastic band of our visits. Well laid out and extremely interesting, even though it was pouring with rain....More

Hi, it can take around 2 to 3 hours. It's not a big site. It's really nice though and staff are excellent answering all your questions. I think it's worth the visit if you don't have time to go to any of the other... More
