A short walk from the town Centre and you find a large walled fortress with stunning views over the surrounding countryside and Lake Garda. The ruins are well maintained and you can even see a slightly strange collection of stuffed birds into main keep.

Went for a walk up to the fortress when we visited the town. Easy walk, takes about 5-10mins, beautiful view at top. If you want to go inside fortress it's 5 euros each or 8 euros to visit the fortress and museum. But you can...More

Another "take me back to the past" moment.A historical sight,very well preserved.When you are on top you can see a lot of the Lake Garda,it is really a beautiful scenery :-)

Visited Lonato del Garda in December and 1st day was very foggy but in the evening and next day the weather was much better so we went to visit Lonato castle. Grand historical monument.. it's a pity that we couldn't go inside the castle. Hope...More

Dear Sir, Lonato Castle will remain closed for work of restoration untill the end of March. You will be able to visit the museum and the library which are within easy reach of the castle. The timetables are: monday to... More
