We left Beer around 09.00, hopping on the local bus to Sidmouth. The bus journey was a spectacle in itself, squeezing along tiny narrow country lanes, through Branscombe and on to the seafront at Sidmouth. After a pleasant coffee stop, we set off on our...More

This part of the path has a step ascent from Branscombe beach with views worth waiting for , or a less challenging but bracing cliff top walk from either Beer or Branscombe

Great leisurely walk. Heading west from Beer, chose the lower path through the gap created in the cliff fall of 1790. One section near the top can bring your heart to your mouth as you stand on the edge looking down the narrow path. This...More

This is one of our absolute favourite walks - it's open cliffs and vast views of the sea, then a varied scramble along the path through the undercliff. Just stunning.

This is a must - particularly early evening - as you look across Branscombe/Sidmouth way it's easy to imagine Jurassic times.
