Overview
More
A 4 mile moderate ramble along the South West Coast Path through the Hooken Undercliff, where a dramatic landslip in 1790 provides a haven for wildlife. Returning along the clifftops above, where there are spectacular views in either direction of red cliffs soaring beyond the white, the walk links the villages of Beer and Branscombe.

We walked the coastal path to Beer and return from Branscome NT Forget returning via the lower path which had some treacherous steps but was worthwhile to see the cliffs and microenvironment on the slopes. The routes require strenuous uphill and downhill effort but this...More

We undertook this walk on a sunny Saturday. Parked at the Branscombe village hall. No meters, a £2.00 donation recommended for a day. Put your donation in the Wishing Well! Then we took the 1050 bus to Beer. £2.90 single fare. Only 3 buses on...More

Just a three mile return hike enabled us to have really good views from the cliffs. Not too arduous.

After visiting the Beer caves you can walk back via Brunscombe back to Beer. This is a fairly short distance walking talong the so-called undercliff. At the lowest point you can step on the beach. At low tide you can actually walk on to Beer,...More

The walk from Beer Head to Branscombe via Under Hoboken is great and a highlight when we come to Beer. Dropping down the path at Hooken cliffs is a little bit other worldly and a bit tropical in feeling with all the greenery! Goes path...More

A pleasant circular walk from Beer to Branscombe and back again to Beer. Can be muddy in places but worth it. Parking at Beer is very good. The climb from Branscombe to the top of the cliff the most strenuous part. Just take your time

This walk is beautiful and definitely something worth leaving the house for when there’s nothing else to do on a Sunday afternoon. The views are stunning and definitely worth taking a camera with you to show everyone!
