Quiet beach but the sun goes behind the cliff in the afternoon. Great swimming. No facilities so take your picnic with you

This is a remote beach but apparently the only one on the island that looks like a tropical beach. Quite pretty. The whole of the island is quite odd - very poorly developed given it is a tourist attraction. Hotels are pretty poor, food not...More

We had a rented car and stopped in Ovahe quickly for a picture. We could barely see the sand and it wasn't pink as everyone "sells the place" as the pink sand beach. Not the easiest access, full of rocks, so not very worth it.

I did a quick stop on ATV on recommendation of a guide book. It’s a secluded area with a beautiful view, but I wouldn’t call it a “beach” really. Good for a stopover but probably not for a full day.

I like ocean sides. This is a nice place to visit but if your interest is visiting a beach, this is not the place, as the ocean has taken the beach away.

It is a nice beach. However, it is illegal to go there according to all of the signs at the beach. There is no lifeguard. However, diving tours still come here.

The lovely beach is overlooked by a group of Moai. It has everything going for it. There are stands with food and drink, souvenirs are available, and there are nice places to sit and enjoy the atmosphere.

This beach is just a short way from the more popular Anakena. Water is clear with great waves and the swimming area is sandy with very few rocks. However, recently the waves have washed away almost all of the sand on the beach, leaving just...More

There are signs telling you not to swim but you can get to the beach by walking over the rocks. It was a very rocky beach when I was there, with waves crashing against the rocks, but there might be some sand when the tide's...More

There are 2 sandy beaches on the entire island and Ove is the smallest. It is about a 3-5mins drive from Anakena Beach. To access it, you will have to walk down a dirt path, climb over a few rocks, and depending on the tide...More

Fantastic beach. Really quiet. Much better than Anakena and not as much people there. Good for family. Have good shoes in order to get there. Flip-flops can be challenging

Anakena is one of the most beautiful beaches that my wife & I have visited and we've been all over the world. To make things even better there are Moai statues just off the beach. My only regret was that I forgot to use sunscreen...More
