Castles are alway interesting for their historical perspective, incuding this one. The paintings and rooms were interesting to discover.

It is pity this amazing catsle to be closed but if you have time you could take a walk in the huge green area to admire it from outside.The village is pretty too.

Lovely grounds around the golf course which is no longer used. The castle itself is in an impressive baronial style however has a chequered history of failed renovation and development properties in recent years. The modern bar extension is a bit out of character. Great...More

At Aberfeldy it’s really just “rapids” but at Kenmore there boat hire and kayak hire from the small marina where Loch Tay Safaris depart. Also across the loch at Taymouth Marina I think

We have been following this saga for a few years now and we have just come back and the local view is NO unfortuneately. They seem to go from one failure to another and the latest big player has withdrawn. Perhaps one day... More
