This is a must, with gorgeous views all around it is something you should do whilst being in the area, it was raining the whole time we was there but it didn’t stop us from enjoying the wonderful view. Great little walk.

There is a very small free lot right at the trailhead. It will fill quickly, but if you're there early enough, it's free. There is a pay lot for a few Pounds half a block down the road near the gift shop. This also prevents...More

No regrets stopping here. It is beautiful even in the rain! Short hike up to viewpoint. Restroom available. Parking easy. If you love Harry Potter, this is a must do if in the area. Made my day!

The view of this viaduct with a steam locomotive travelling on it is a must. Be aware the car park is small. The staff at the Scottish National Trust building are very helpful and will point you in the right direction.

Fantastic views of the Viaduct and Loch Schiel. You do not have to be a Harry Potter fan to see the beauty of the Viaduct or to appreciate its construction. The views of Loch Schiel are stunning as well and you can see the Glenfinnan...More

Unusual structure set against impressive landscapes, I went during late autumn and it was quite cloudy; but that hasn't reduce the charm of the place by a bit. Definitely worth the detour if you're in Fort William.

Although not by rail, seeing this amazing structure by road was just as spectacular. Cold and wet it may have been but to see this and the monument on a changeable grey Tuesday was well worth it..

This historic viaduct was, when built as part of the west coast line at the beginning of the 20th century, one of the first major concrete engineering structures in the UK since the Romans. Even on a cold, wet, misty day, the Viaduct has a...More

Great place for a long walk, or a picnic by the riverside. There are lots of little places to visit on the site and admire the engineering put into such a structure.

Yes , we took the local train from Fort William to Mallaig and that does exactly the same journey as the Jacobite steam train and goes over the Glenfinnan viaduct.
