Best place to see the mother city, the views are wonderful. It's a nice way to spend a few hours and get some exercise as well.

Making memories

The best views ever. The staff were super efficient courteous and very friendly and helpful. One of the best days weather wise, couldn't have asked for a better day.

Amazed

Amazing views. Cable car totally safe to use. Eventhough the floor of the cable car turns so that you can see a 360 degree view while going up and down, you never feel unsafe. Great food at the top. Nice gift store. A bit pricey, but worthwhile.

Breathtaking views whether you’re on top of it or taking it all in from the beach or Cape Town itself. Having toured around the Western Cape and the Garden Route I found myself missing it!

Incredible

I am incredibly afraid of heights so the cable car up to the mountain was quite terrifying for me but the view once at the top is absolutely magnificent.

Hike to Woodstock Cave
Nov 2020 • Friends
This Sunday’s hike took us to challenge this easy / moderate hike. We were a group of 5 ladies.
We parked on Tafelberg road at the end, where the boom was ( furthest point cars can go) and walked a couple of kilometers until we reached the metal gates. Just before you enter the gates, there’s an unmarked path on your right. It’s carved out steps that zig zag to the entrance to the cave. It is quite a strenuous climb for beginners and novices. Proper shoes will be needed. It is mostly in the open and no covering , proper precautions for sun protection to be taken.
It provides for stunning photo opportunities.
There are no bins, so carry a bag on you to dispose of refuse. This area is also known for muggings, do not go alone.
En-route there’s quite a couple of small waterfalls.

Can never get enough
Nov 2020
I took 2 pensioners visiting up on 11 Nov & although i have been up a few times it is always spectacular. We were able to park close to the cable station as we had a disabled traveller & could use the lift up to the cable car. When we arrived & i enquired , the staff were most accommodating from the ticketing to entering & exiting the cable car which was done on the opposite side to other guests. The cars were running every 5 mins or so , so not a long wait. On top of the mountains there are numerous pathways to explore & most are flat which was great for the disabled guest. It is best to go when it's a sunny warm day with little or no wind , check the Cableway site for up to date info as the Cableway won't run if the winds are to strong & it Cape Town it could be windless in the north but gale force winds in the south. Walking around the mountain gives you amazing views of different coast lines of Cape Town. You also able to hike up the mountain. The views from the flat top are amazing whether it's Camps Bay or Robben Island , no wonder it's 1 of the 7 wonders of the world

THE VIEW OF TABLE MOUNTAIN FROM RONDEBOSCH COMMON (just one VIEW point)
Nov 2020 • Family
REM FROM PRIMARY DAY YEARS

My son has autism! Did I say? This is the reason why he has attended A SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOOL SITUATED JUST OVER THE ROAD FROM RONDEBOSCH COMMON!

So, I probably weight more than twenty kilo's less than I did once upon a time!

So, driving him to school in the morning, sometimes I would invite friends to accompany me to after gym, come and walk the common! However, I was returning from finding individuals who have bookshops around the CAPE than just in Cape Town on this day, I took this photograph of Table mountain which is visible from many angles of the COMMON!

Once my son started attending high school, I would buy us a picnic lunch and we would go sit in my car at the common on the side that Table mountain is not the view from! Go look see what I mean!

I never walked Rondebosch Common as many times as I used to attend gym THOUGH....just rem in and posting on it.

Oh, my then teenage daughter was on a gap year than getting ready to be a final year UNI student as she is NOW. #👏

WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER, I USED TO SIT ON OUR FRONT STOEP AND HAVE A DIFFERENT VIEW OF TABLE MOUNTAIN, SINCE I LIVED IN CAPE TOWN THEN AND....STILL DO NOW
