Table Mountain dominates the landscape of Cape Town. It is always changing. The colour is always varying during the day. You can see the clouds sit on the top of the mountain and then disappear. You can never get bored with looking at Table Mountain. The views from the mountain are spectacular.

Table Mountain is a "must see" for anyone visiting Cape Town. Sadly the cable car is expensive but then it needs to be to run safely and efficiently. The alternative walk is possible for those reasonably fit but certainly worth the effort.

A steep and exhausting trek for us but we were with a guide (Steffi) who coaxed us to the top. Once atop (around 2 hours later) we were awarded with spectacular views all around us. The small cafe at the top served us amazing breakfast and hot chocolate. We descended via the aerial cableway in no time! Lovely experience in... More

Excellent hike up Platteklip, well demarcated trail in very good condition. Take water with you. You can buy a one way cable car trip down if you don't feel like hiking back down from the top. This can be bought at the cableway station on the top of the mountain about 500m from where you will summit the mountain. Takes... More

Wow wow woooow. What a gorgeous day!! Plan your trip well with weather. Pack water and snacks and a walking stick and you will have a lot of fun! We walked from the upper cable station right across the mountain to Constantia neck. Mike Lund's book stated 4 hours walk and we ambled along and took 7 hours. Do not... More

The most amazing views from Cape Town are from here. Buy the tickets online, they are valid until you use it, that will help you escape from big lines. Plan to be there early so you can enjoy all the mountain can gave you without being on a hurry.

The number one thing you must do if this is your first visit to Cape Town. We do it every time we visit, and we used to live there! There are many ways to get up, some require more energy than others. But I do recommend you take the Cable car if its your first time. Its very quick, and... More

We were here during Easter weekend so perhaps the lines were exceptionally long but since it is a major tourist attraction, the lines are probably long most of the time.

Wonderful views and a terrific rotating cable car ride. A bit difficult to schedule as its extremely vulnerable to windy weather.
