The view from the deck is stunning, but unfortunately, the food was uninspiring. My hubby had a classic rump steak, and I opted for hake and chips. Both dishes suffered from most probably being defrosted in the microwave, robbing them of their flavor. Next time, we'll stick to freshly prepared pizza to fully enjoy the awesome views.

This place is a gem! It’s honestly a little tricky to locate, but once you arrive there is little that would disappoint. The view and setting is beautiful, true to South Africa. Our dinner party ordered an array of meals, from pap and vleis to pizzas to toasted sandwiches - every single dish was a hit. Great tasting food and well sized portions. Service was good too. Definitely the best option for dining in Komatipoort!

We were greeted by waitresses lounging on a dining table on arrival and seemed unhappy about having to get up to welcome their guests - not the best start ! The restaurant has amazing views over the crocodile river so I expected the dining experience to be on par with the setting. We sat at a table in front of the pizza oven and ordered drinks , I had a Windhoek draught but was very yeasty - it seemed like the beer line cleaning had been forgotten! I then tried the Heineken- unfortunately the same issue. We ordered mostly pizzas as the wood burning oven directly in front of us seemed very appealing!

When the pizza’s started coming out the oven was when I saw the most awful thing , this happened on 07/01/24 at roughly 10h45 ( in case the owner may want to check the cctv footage for that area) .

One of our pizza’s came out and it needed the avocado to be added , one of the ladies ( wearing a light pink shirt and apron) behind the counter spat her gum out on to her hand , threw it away then used the same hand she just spat on to handle the avocado and place it on the pizza. As I was with guests I unfortunately did not get up and ‘make a scene’ as I really should have.

Straight afterwards , my pizza ( Romana) , was destroyed in the oven by the pizza guy , he pulled half out ( with toppings missing) then tried to scrape the toppings he scraped from the pizza oven from the paddle with his hand onto my plate - I then got up and told them I don’t want that ‘pizza’ .

During our time here we had to get up twice to ask for more drinks , the staff here seem to just not care , such a shame , great spot with good menu but eat here at own risk !!

Extremely disappointed!!

A gorgeous golf course near the Kruger Park. We played twice and thoroughly enjoyed it. Recommend a caddy as layout is a bit unusual but some beautiful views. Very well maintained. Restaurant was also great. Simon was a great caddy!

A really nice place with great views over the crocodile river, good for spending an afternoon with drinks and lunch. Koomatipoort is not blessed with many restaurants, and in the realm of just wanting a 'plate of food' (or bordkos in Afrikaans!) this is a good place where locals appear to gather. So I give it a higher rating because the view is bloody fabulous. The food is quite acceptable for country dining. Menu has an unexpected range of choices. Service fine even if you have to wave hands occasionally for attention. Guess it's best explained as a pub drinking spot with restaurant. The wine on offer was frankly quite awful, we went through about 4 bottles which we didn't drink. Stick to bear and shooters and you will have a great time, unless your are particular about wine! Recommended all the same.

I had the prego and chips. Nice and spicy as well as more than a generous portion. Daughter had chicken strips. Not overcooked.
Situated on the riverbank of the crocodile river, the best view ever overlooking Kruger National Park. First time I spotted an osprey. Great experience.

The restaurant is basically on a wooden deck that overlooks the Kruger Park, stunning views. The waiters are quick with your orders and the food was really delicious, cannot go wrong with the Portuguese grilled chicken. The grilled prawns also good.
