Declan was an amazing guide. He was incredibly friendly, informative, and professional. The tour was awesome fun. The ride was comfortable, and the food in the evening was delicious. I couldn't recommend this experience more. It was a true African safari.

First of all, my hubby arranged for us to enjoy the Bush Braai in August 2023 for our 10 Year Wedding Anniversary. I got ill on the second day & we did not get to enjoy the rest of our trip, as hubby took me home to recover. Hubby informed Royal Safaris & they kindly advised that we may reschedule our Bush Braai when we return for another get-away. Hubby surprised me in October 2023 with a trip to Ngwenya Lodge together with our rescheduled Bush Braai! Alex picked us up from Ngwenya Lodge reception area. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon sunset safari! Alex is an absolute wealth of knowledge - from birds, animal behaviour, footprints right through to Geology. Alex did not let one chance slip through his fingers to stop & teach us about the animals we were busy admiring. We absolutely love to learn new things & were super happy with Alex as our Guide! The Bush Braai was incredible - the vibe, the surroundings, and….OH MY WORD…the food!! There is nothing as good as a braai with lekker pap & sous :-) To top it all off, we had some truly South African desserts: Malva Pudding & Koeksisters (as well as Amarula for the drinkers)! We ended the evening with a Night Drive where we were lucky enough to see Hippo, Elephant, lots of Impala, Blue Wildebeest & thanks to Alex - a Chameleon! This was such an amazing experience & we would really like to thank Alex for this wonderful experience! It is thanks to him that we will be returning to Royal Safaris for more unforgettable memories!!

My partner arranged a Sunset drive, Night drive and Bush Brai with Royal Safaris as a surprise for my Birthday on our recent trip to Kruger. Our Guide was Zander. We had a fabulous afternoon and evening. Zander was helpful, very informative and good company. We had already seen the ‘Big 5’ on our own self drives during the previous days, so we’re not keen to chase these again. Zander managed to find us a chameleon, African Wild Cat, Rhino, beautiful African Giant Owl plus the usual plains game. We were very content. The Bush Brai was something very special. Secluded position in the bush, wonderfully lit with a great atmosphere. All the staff were lovely. The food was delicious and capped a most memorable evening. Thank you Royal Safaris for making my Birthday that extra special.

We recently had a wonderful experience with Royal Safaris as international guests! Our guide Matthew showed up on time to pick us up at the Crocodile Rest Camp in the south of Kruger National Park. He took us on a fabulous game drive where we saw elephants, lions, leopards (including a mother with two cubs), buffalo, cheetahs, and much more! We were treated to a magnificent sunset during our game drive. The bush braai dinner was excellent! The boma was set in the bush and we could see the night sky and hear the sounds of the African bush while we feasted including the roaring of nearby lions. There was a large fire in the middle of the boma which created a great atmosphere. The food was delicious and plentiful and the service was superb. Thank you very much Royal Safaris for a highlight of our trip to South Africa from the USA and Greece. When (not if) I return to South Africa and Kruger National Park, I will definitely use the services of Royal Safaris again!

Good morning 🐾
I would just like to thank you and your team for an amazing experience on our bush braai last night. It was really wonderful to see the bush in a different light 😉 Zander (our guide and please forgive me if I'm spelling his name wrong) was an absolute hoot, made us laugh and he was very informative and we had a lot of "oh really" moments. For such a young gentleman, he has a lot of knowledge about vast things and couldn't have asked for a better guide. To Dumi and Precious (again, please forgive me if I have it wrong🤦🏻‍♀️) were so welcoming when we stopped for the braai and the food was AMAZING!!! So from the bottom of my heart, thank you sooooooo much for everything 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Best night drive experience we ever had! So good, we came to back from Jhb two weeks later to do it again, with some friends. Ria replied quickly when we made the booking and was very helpful and friendly, and went out of her way to accommodate us. Our guide, Matthew, was a live encyclopedia that knew about everything, and super eyes that spotted animals far beyond our capabilities. He is very well mannered and helpful, we enjoyed his company and experience. And then the food... that was another experience on it’s own. Thanks to our chef Dumi and Precious, the food and setting was out of this world! We can’t wait to do it all again! Well done to the whole team who put this all together, you have something truly unique that everyone should experience.

When going to the Kruger National Park, the daytrips are exceptional and seeing the abundance of game is always worth the trip. The night drive and 'braai' is on another level altogether. To be able to sit at a campfire, hearing the night sounds and being safe in the compound is something difficult to describe. The eerie sounds and potential risks are fantastic. Spend the money - you will not regret it!

I have been to the Kruger plenty of times but never have I experienced this unique way of doing things. The drive, the guide, the braai with huge fire in the middle of the bush was simply unforgettable and worth the cost!

The whole experience was an undoubted highlight of a wonderful holiday largely centred on safaris in Kruger \national Park. Picked up from our Marloth Park base by a very personable guide Matthew we had a great 3 hour safari in KNP with the highlight being a sighting of 3 wild dogs in pursuit of an unseen prey. We then returned to a site not too far from Crocodile Bridge but clearly well off-road.. By this time darkness has enveloped the Park but the sight of burning bush torches and a 'stockade' as we approached was brilliant. Only our family group of 5 was present but the atmosphere was amazing - matched, we all agreed, by a splendid meal. The soup was delicious, the salads tasty but the meat on offer was divine especially coupled with the Sheba sauce. Our servers were friendly, lively and plied us with all the drinks we could wish for and Matthew joined us for the meal and we had a great time in a venue so full of atmosphere. Even the sweet was good and we were all very appreciative of the efforts of the staff. After a great meal we returned to the safari vehicle and had a short but fascinating final drive back through the Park. Small but extremely interesting animals like civets, gennets and mongooses were spotted by Matthew, no mean feat given he was driving us whilst shining his spotlight but he really came into his own when he pulled over and showed us a bush that contained a chameleon which we all failed to spot until he actually showed us from very closeup . Royal Safaris are to be congratulated for their bid for this Bush Braai Experience which they have the right to for the near future. But we all believe that they have gone to great lengths to deliver a really memorable experience, By Safari Company standards In Kruger this is not cheap but they have made it a highlight experience and we all as a group fully recommend it as an experience not to be missed. Happy to be contacted by parties interested to know more about this magical experience
