We were told that first time skiers best learn to ski in powder snow and it was correct --our 10 years old daughter (after 9 lessons of 2 hours each) is now able to ski downhill without poles!

Nice ski field with less people than Niseko. Probably easier for beginner and intermediate skiers. On a sunny day, it is really beautiful. Very easy to navigate on the field and quite safe.

Club Med is located right at the foot of the mountain and you can ski to the back door which of course is fantastic. The ski area itself is very small but has a fairly good range of runs, including a few blacks and moguls....More

We stayed at the attached Club Med and skied here. The powder snow was incredible and the ski lifts were never crowded. This is an excellent ski resort for beginner to intermediate-advanced levels, but the most advanced skiers may get a little bored by the...More

Had 2 sessions of ski lessons, our instructors spoke no/limited English but we managed to learn how to ski. Food at the gondola station was good and reasonably priced.
