This catle is not same as Osaka castle and Himeji castle. Traditionally Akashi citizen walking around Akshi park and watching Akashi castle.

Visited the ruins on a warm afternoon. Several families were having picnics but was quiet compared to USA. Very beautiful and spotlessly clean. Enjoyed a good 40 mins stroll around. The ruins are in good nick and the ponds with wisteria in bloom were breathtaking....More

Though the main keep was removed, the remains of castle are nice and well preserved. The original castle is turned into a huge park, the Akashi Park, which is good for family picnic!

While in Japan to visit my sister in law, me and wife and our son 3 years old we went to visit this park (is not the first time) and me and my son went to see these ruins and is nice.
