The crater is very close to Nakuru and it offers a splendid view of the countryside. It has limited bird life for the bird watcher. There are some hiking trials.

overlooking the beautiful lake Nakuru and town Menengai Crater is a fascinating place. This time we took a Tuk Tuk from Nakuru Town but previous times we had hiked or traveled by car. Wonderful place for hiking , picnicking and sight seeing.

Its Free, although there are the usual sellers at the car park at the top.. We had a young guy offer us a guided walk for free, but after he wanted to show us his store. It was well worth having the guide and buying a few... More
