It is because of places like the lake that makes Bicester the ideal "Garden Town", greenery and wildlife abound in these areas of the town and Island Pond Wood is an exceptional area of beauty

As the trees break bud and begin to show their fresh growth the wood really looks a picture. Just the place for a quiet stroll or rest by the pond.

Perfect little spot for taking the dog for a walk. Friendly locals, nice pond and benches to sit on and ponder life. If you in Launton have a wander around!

This is an interesting developing woodland complete with small pond and smaller island! It is a well maintained woodland ideal for shorter walks and is popular with the local dogs and their owners.

They have done a lot of work on the entrance path - much better surface and no mud - and a wheelchair-size entry kissing gate that makes it easy to get buggies, chairs and barrows into the wood. Inside it is still pretty wet underfoot,...More

A pleasant wood that's a lovely peaceful place to have a walk around, nice place for dog walkers and families - its a nice place to blow away some cobwebs.

Driving from Bicester go through the village and at cross roads turn right onto west end. You will see a gateway that leads to it.
